Strike Seeker teams up with Steve Cook-GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply for western US distribution
September 1, 2016
Strike Seeker, the premiere all-in-one coaching and self-training tool for bowling, is now available through Steve Cook-GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply throughout the western United States. Clay Smith, Strike Seeker President and developer of Strike Seeker has appointed Steve Cook – GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply as exclusive distributor west of the Mississippi River.
First introduced at Bowl Expo 2015, Strike Seeker has quickly become the coaching tool of choice for professional coaches looking to better connect with their students and add value to their lessons. Within the last year 5 certified USBC Gold Coaches have started using Strike Seeker daily at their training facilities and numerous college coaches, pro shop operators and bowling center proprietors have installed Strike Seeker to attract bowlers and create new revenue streams.
“I’m very pleased to be represented by Steve Cook – GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply. Steve Cook and GRAN PRIX have been two of the most respected bowling suppliers in the country.” said Strike Seeker President Clay Smith. “Since last year I have been looking for new ways to get the word out and having Steve Cook-GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply carry Strike Seeker west of the Mississippi will introduce many more people in the bowling industry to this new and unique coaching aid.”
Strike Seeker uses an overhead camera to automatically track the bowling ball and provide an array of readings and consistency analyses on a nearby TV monitor while also automatically preparing a set of replays from one to four more cameras that watch the bowler from different sides. It fundamentally improves the way that coaches interact with their students because now the coach is free to focus 100% of their attention on the student while Strike Seeker collects and prepares data and videos for review. There is no more walking around with a camera or studying controls on a laptop while the student is bowling because data and videos are prepared and ready without anyone lifting a finger.
“Strike Seekers provides pro shops, coaches, and bowling centers with the greatest revenue potential I have ever seen” said Daniel Puerto, pro shop operator, Silver certified coach, and IBPSIA Board Member, who will lead the marketing effort for Steve Cook – GRAN PRIX. “From coaching lessons to renting it out for bowlers wanting to reach new levels, once it is installed it is a money making machine.”
Since Strike Seeker is always preparing information for review, it can also be used as a self-training tool without a coach. When not being used for lessons the bowling center can rent out the lane at a premium for practice by simply turning on the TV. A brief one page flyer explains everything that Strike Seeker shows on the monitor. Bowlers just bowl normally and can look at the monitor to see replay loops, data readings, the most recent ball paths on the lane, and consistency measures.
“The bowling industry is dependent on coaching at all levels to be a vibrant sport with future growth potential. We are delighted to join with Strike Seekers to support and enhance coaching” said GRAN PRIX’s David Caldwell.
Steve Cook said “Being a bowling distributor and a center proprietor I think Strike Seekers will provide a revenue stream for bowling centers and pro shops which offer lessons. It allows bowlers of all ages and abilities to see firsthand data right while they are bowling. It’s a win-win for bowler, coaches, and centers. “
